Louis Tomlinson must be getting all his immature behavior out of the way before he welcomes his first child with Briana Jungwirth. At least, that's what I hope his reason was for stomping on a piñata with Naughty Boy's face on it during a concert. Otherwise I'm a little nervous about how he's going to handle this whole “being a father” thing.
During One Direction's Kansas City performance yesterday, someone threw the piñata on stage, and Louis and Liam Payne proceeded to destroy it. In a video taken by an audience member, Liam rolls on top of the piñata, and then Louis jumps on it before kicking it off the stage.
In case you haven't been keeping up with the seemingly endless drama surrounding One Direction this year, allow me to catch you up. Zayn Malikleft the group in March. Then in May Louis got into a Twitter feud with Zayn's producer friend Naughty Boy, who had posted a photo of the two of them hanging out together. That feud then led to a feud between Louis and Zayn. Then earlier this month, when Naughty Boy appeared to have leaked part of Zayn's music video, Zayn started feuding with him.
Basically, Naughty Boy has been a weird sixth party in the Zayn-leaving-1D drama, and Louis really doesn't like him. You know, if that wasn't already apparent from the Twitter feud and him stomping on his effigy. And now apparently Liam has joined the “I Hate Naughty Boy” party too, as evidenced by him rolling over his effigy. And Zayn made it pretty clear he doesn't want to be friends with him anymore. So that's three out of five current and former One Direction boys who are anti-Naughty Boy. Meanwhile I guess Harry Styles is too busy making his hair look messy and Niall Horan is too busy being the best one. What a saga.
If you thought Jay-Z gifting Beyonce with a dragon egg from the Game of Thrones set was crazy, you ain't heard nothing yet. Specifically, you haven't heard about what Liam Payne of One Direction bought to put in his garden.
During an interview on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, Liam told Nick Grimshawthat he purchased a Harry Potter movie prop to express his geekdom. It's not something small, like a scarf worn by an extra or a page from a potions textbook. Rather, it's an entire fucking car. Pardon my French, but I don't feel like I can express the magnitude of this purchase without using the F-word.
You're probably wondering what car Liam bought. Well, it turns out that when it comes to buying cars used on the Harry Potter set, Liam Payne goes big. And by “big,” I mean he bought one of the cars used as the Weasleys' flying Ford Anglia in The Chamber of Secrets.
“I bought the Harry Potter car and I put it in my garden. You know the blue car, the flying one? I bought one because I’m a bit of a geek.”
While your yard might have some flowers and perhaps an inflatable Santa or two during the holiday season, Liam Payne's yard has the flying car from Harry Potter. Liam doesn't specify whether or not the car actually flies, but it's my sneaking suspicion that it was the UFO over Los Angeles the other week. I'm onto you, Payne.
I must say I'm a little bit worried about what this revelation will mean for Liam. He's already had to deal with One Direction fans swarming his parents' garden over a radio competition mix-up. Now he has to worry about Harry Potter fans, too? Even worse, I'm willing to bet a whole lot of young people check off both the Directioner box and the Potterhead box. Let's hope he has good security.
One Direction may be gone (for now or forever, we really don't know) but at least we will always have the love lives of 5 guys to endlessly speculate on. The newest relationship coming into the fold is that between Liam Payne and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, a British singer and former X Factor judge, who happens to be 10 years older than 22-year-old Liam. While the two have been seen together for months, Liam confirmed the relationship today with a post featuring a picture of Cheryl and the caption “Happy #internationalwomensday to my favourite woman in the world hope I make you as happy as u make me X” So Liam #1 knew it was International Women's Day and #2 used it to pledge his love to Cheryl in a way that made us all melt. I like your style, Liam.
The couple first meet on X Factor back in 2010 when Liam was a merely a contestant on a reality show not knowing being in the greatest band ever formed was in his immediate future. According to The Sun, they kept in touch through One Direction's management company. Their romance started last December when One Direction performed their last performance before their breakuphiatus on X Factor.
Cheryl is in the midst of a divorce from husband Jean-Bernard Fernandaz-Versini while Liam broke up with girlfriend Sophia Smith last October. So Cheryl must have really fallen hard for Liam to get into a relationship that quickly or she just wanted a guy with 100% less hyphens in his name. Both sound pretty believable.
Turns out he only keeps in touch with one of the guys. I'll give you a minute to guess who it is. Okay, time is up. It's Liam Payne. Did I give it away with the GIF? I couldn't help it, it's just so adorable. Here's what Zayn told the magazine about his enduring friendship with Liam:
“I'm still probably the closest to Liam,” Zayn explains. “We talk on the phone. He congratulated me on my single, which was nice. I congratulated him on his Brit Award [the group collected the British Video Award for ‘Drag Me Down']. It was a good chat. We haven't met up in a long time so we want to meet up.”
It's appropriate that Liam is the one Zayn is closest to, since their bromance name can be Zayne. But what about the other guys? Does he still talk to Harry? Niall? Louis, even though they had some pretty nasty Twitter exchanges last year?
“I tried to have contact but nobody's reached out. So… whatever.”
Ouch. I mean, we kind of already knew this, since earlier this year Zayn revealed that he's tried reaching out to the guys, but they've basically gone all “new phone who dis” on him in return.
I feel like this is a pretty universally relatable situation. Anyone who's ever been in a close-knit friend group has probably experienced something like this, no matter whose position you were in — the exiled friend, the only friend who still talks to the exiled friend, or the other friends who pretend the exiled friend doesn't exist anymore. New Music Friday: Swift makes a ‘Gorgeous’ debut, 1D Boys newest Solo efforts
On Friday, 10/20 a ton of new music hit the web — and it's safe to say that pop music fans everywhere were overwhelmed with all the new song options.
Taylor Swift’s Gorgeous debut:
Taylor Swift released her third single “Gorgeous” from her upcoming studio album, “Reputation.” Although Tay swore in “Look What You Made Me Do” that “Old Taylor” was dead, this newest song definitely feels remnicent of her older work and brings us back to her roots as she's pining over a gorgeous guy yet again.
From experience, people already know Taylor’s lyrics to be both sickeningly sweet and hopelessly romantic, so from the first listen, this new song seems par for the course. On the surface, the song comes off like she was regressing from the lyrical growth that she’d displayed with the previous two singles that she'd recently released. But “Gorgeous” is almost too on the nose, too “cutesy,” seemingly self-aware, even.
Reviews of the song have been mixed but this is Taylor Swift that we’re talking about, so no matter the critical reception, it’s a guaranteed hit. The bop already shot up to number one worldwide on iTunes.
For those of you living under a rock, you can check out the rest of her album in a little over two weeks when it finally drops on November 10.
Niall Horan releases his first solo album:
British boyband One Direction just might be the first group to ever have every single member go on to have successful solo efforts after disbanding. Just five months after member Harry Styles released his self-titled debut album, it's now Niall Horan's turn to dive into the solo pool and make some splashes.
The 1D Irishmen has quietly made a name for himself with his acoustic, ballad-y tunes and he's finally released his much anticipated solo album, Flicker on Friday, Oct. 20. Always branded “the cute blonde one” in the band, since going solo, Niall has effortlessly showcased several new sides of himself.
While every single song might not be your style, there's something for everyone with Niall's range on the album. He definitely gives off the Ed Sheeran vibes, but his music is also uniquely himself — as shown with his first two hit singles off of the album, “This Town” and “Slow Hands” and only further proven by the other tracks on Flicker. Our favorites (so far) are “Flicker,” “Seeing Blind,” and “On My Own.”
Niall's success (heck, that of all of the other 1D members') make us feel like proud Directioners. Those years of stanning didn't go in vain.
Liam Payne stays sexy with Bedroom Floor:
Speaking of 1D, Liam Payne also had a release this week (hmm wonder if this was intentional). After his huge hit, “Strip That Down” came out last spring, Liam provided us with yet another one of his Justin Timberlake-esque songs, this one called “Bedroom Floor.”
The song is very sexy. While this new “Bieber look” that he's been sporting since leaving One Direction feels unauthentic (TBH), his music is pretty damn catchy. So, props to him and his producers because this one is a club banger.
After years listening to the cute, upbeat pop tunes that 1D would churn out, it's fun hearing the ~new directions~ (pun totally intended) the individual members are going with now that they have the freedom that they do as solo artists.
(Side note: Nick Jonas also released a track called “Home” from a movie called Ferdinand, coming out this December.)
New Princess on the horizon?

Potential princess-to-be Meghan Markle may have just taken a huge step to a royal engagement last week. According to The Daily Mail, Prince Harry took Meghan to Buckingham Palace to meet Queen Elizabeth, signifying a possible jump forward in their relationship. The site reports that they had an hour-long tea session (we mean a literal meeting over tea, though they are ~The Royals~, so we're sure some tea was *spilled* as well… if you know what we mean). Apparently, everything went over smoothly with it being Meghan’s first official meeting with the Queen.
This comes shortly after the couple made their first joint public appearance together at the 2017 Invictus Games. According to insiders, this means they're “as good as engaged.” Will there be wedding bells in the near future?
DNCE frontman, Joe Jonas took to his Instagram this week to officially announce his engagement to Games of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
According to US Magazine, the middle Jo Bro proposed to his girlfriend of one year Oct. 15. The 21-year-old actress was said to have been in total shock. (And at 21… can you really blame her?!) Obviously she said yes, making it the second GoT wedding in the works — since Kit Harington and Rose Leslie> got engaged just over a month ago.
The announcement lead to hundreds of thousands of well wishes. Joe’s famous ex, Demi Lovato even hoped online to send her congrats.

In the first issue since founder Hugh Hefner’s passing, Playboy has unveiled French model Ines Rau as the November 2017 Playmate — marking the publications first transgender cover model.
Speaking to Playboy, Rau spoke of how being approached by the publication brought back memories of how much she's had to face and what a pivotal moment this offer was for her.
“When I was doing this shoot, I was thinking of all those hard days in my childhood,” she said. “Nudity means a lot to me since I went through a transition to get to where I want to be.”
“And now everything happening gives me so much joy and happiness. I thought ‘Am I really going to be a Playmate—me?' It's the most beautiful compliment I've ever received,” she added.
The magazine wanted to counter any “flack” from loyal subscribers by comparing the current reception to the reaction that the first African American Playmate in 1965 received. Playboy wanted to make it clearly known that they stand unequivocally by their new cover model and are proud to have er. Here's to more inclusivity to more major publications in the future!

Since Niall released his first solo album, Flicker, in October, he's practically been drowning in record sales. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, but then again, knowing how beloved the Irish cutie was during his 1D days, is that really that surprising? And now, in a new interview with The Daily Star, Niall is talking about what's next for him, and it sounds like he's got a lot on his plate in the coming months. For the immediate future, Niall's taking some time off to relax and hang out with his family in Ireland. But then, he's getting right back to work, touring and preparing for album number two. Yes, already.
“I’d say over the course of the year I’ll start writing,” Niall said. “With jamming at sound checks and things like that, things always come up – little riffs and bits and pieces.”
Makes sense. While he's on tour he'll be playing music almost every night, so it'd be hard not to get inspired. Niall also revealed his plans to work with Julia Michaels, who's heading out on tour with him next year — and whose breakout hit “Issues” has been all over the radio lately. In fact, Niall called her “one of the best songwriters on the planet,” which is obviously a huge compliment. Maybe they can make some magic together for Niall's next album?
It's definitely heartbreaking to hear that Niall's schedule might be a bit too busy to reunite with the other guys, but it's not like he's the only one with a full schedule. Harry Styleshas been killing it lately, and with Liam Payneand Louis Tomlinsonworking on their own projects right now, it seems like everyone's good with doing their own thing for the time being. And as long as we keep getting music from the boys, does it really matter if it's separate or together?
Knowing how awesome Flicker was, we can't wait to hear more from Niall in 2018, even if it means One Direction won't be getting back together just yet. That day will still come… maybe. Eventually. Hopefully?
Every music fan dreads the day that their favorite band breaks up. It’s a pretty devastating event: just ask all of the distraught One Direction fans out there, or anyone who was an emo kid when My Chemical Romance parted ways. However, the beauty of the music industry is that a breakup (or a “hiatus” as it's so frequently called) is rarely a permanent thing. Bands break up and make up all the time according to their members’ circumstances (and bank balances). Nostalgia sells, and even groups who’ve been disbanded for decades have been known to make successful comebacks.
With this in mind, we couldn’t help but think about the various bands we’d love to see get back together in 2018. A 1D reunion would certainly warm the hearts of millions of young girls around the world. If Destiny’s Child got back together – even just for a night – it’d be a total sensation. Since Justin Timberlake is playing the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year, why not get him to bring *NSYNC back together for the performance? They’re not the only ones. There are so many groups out there that need to make a comeback next year.
Christian Grey is a singer!? Well, according to the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack, Jamie Dornan has definitely got some vocal talent. The actor's name appears on the film's newly-released track list alongside the bonus track “Maybe I'm Amazed” – and fans literally can't believe it.
You actually might recognize the song since it was written by Paul McCartney in 1970. The Beatles singer dedicated the song to his wife, Linda, who helped him get through the break-up of his band. Hmmm… we wonder why Jamie decided to lend his vocals to that specific song. One thing is for sure – it'll be interesting to hear the tune with his Irish accent!
Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until February to hear it, but that just makes us even more excited for the movie! Who even knew Jamie could sing? We certainly had not a clue, and neither did a lot of fans of the Fifty Shades franchise. Following the news, many fans shared their excitement on Twitter.

The album also features familiar artists such as Hailee Steinfeld, Dua Lipa, Sia, and even Ellie Goulding, who also performed “Love Me Like You Do” for the first film.
The Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack is set for release on Friday, February 9th — the same day the movie will hit theaters.

He played two songs that will be featured on the European leg of his world tour, but everyone is focusing on his one song “Medicine.”

Apparently, Harry has performed the song before but mumbled some of the lyrics previously. Then last night, fans got to hear the words loud and clear. And those lyrics seem to be sending a very direct message. The part of the song that everyone is freaking out about is, “…The boys and the girls are here, I mess around with them, and I'm okay with it. I'm coming down, I figured out I kinda like it, and when I sleep I'm gonna dream of how you tasted.”
After hearing those lyrics, people are speculating that because Harry is singing about messing around with girls and boys, this is his way of coming out as bisexual. Looking at some of Harry's quotes about sexuality in the past, these lyrics aren't exactly totally out of left field. He doesn't seem like the type to issue a statement on Instagram or Twitter but it makes sense that he would use his music as a platform. Fans are 100% here for it.
For years now, people have speculated about if Harry was straight, gay, bi, pan, or if he identified at all. Many media personnel have boldly asked him these extremely personal questions and Harry's been pretty tight-lipped. However, in May 2017, he opened up to Dan Wootton from The Sun. After discussing Miley Cyrus coming out as pansexual, Harry applauded her.
Harry said, “Being in a creative field, it’s important to be progressive. People doing stuff like that is great. Everyone should just be who they want to be. It’s tough to justify somebody having to answer to someone else about stuff like that.” And when asked about using labels for himself, Harry replied, “I don’t feel like it’s something I’ve ever felt like I have to explain about myself.”

Fans are so excited that Harry would feel comfortable sharing this news with the world – if it's true, that is. Rumors have swirled since his days in One Direction. In fact, fans were pretty adamant that Harry had been in secret relationship with his bandmate, Louis Tomlinson (AKA Larry) for quite some time. The pair almost never spoke about the rumors, especially not while they were still part of 1D. However, in 2017, Louis revealed that the fan obsession with Larry and all of the rumors actually hurt his friendship with Harry. Now that's a true tragedy!

The rumor mill is always working overtime where the former members of One Direction are concerned, but lately, it seems to be focused on Liam Payne and his girlfriend, Cheryl. Are they breaking up? Are they getting married? What's going on? Now, we finally have answers. In a new interview, Liam opened up about his relationship with Cheryl, and we finally know what's happening with the couple for once and for all.
While talking to Evening Standard, Liam revealed that although he and Cherylhave gone through a rough patch recently — which was bound to happen, seeing as they are both human and trying to tackle parenting their baby, Bear, for the first time — they're still hanging in there.
“The funniest thing was a week before we were getting married. The next week we’re splitting up,” Liam said, referencing all of the headlines about his relationship that have been thrown around lately. “And the thing for me is, I just like to think we’re somewhere in the middle. You know, we have our struggles — like of course, I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is.”
So true. No matter how adorable Liam and Cheryl are together (and they are really adorable), it doesn't mean they're not going to suffer from the same obstacles all couples have to overcome. And fortunately, according to Liam himself, it sounds like they've been able to push through when things get tough, and that's what really matters.
“This part of our relationship was never not going to happen, there was always going to be a little bit of tenseness in the way we sort ourselves out but tell me a relationship in the world that doesn’t go through a spot like that?” Liam added. “It’s about whether you make it through or not, together, is the main point there I guess.”
Liam also said that while he recognizes that things are going to be different for him and the Girls Aloud singer because they're both in the spotlight, all that really matters to him is how they make things work themselves, not what strangers think they should do. Even at just 24 years old, Liam's always been wise beyond his years, and this is just more proof of that fact.
“It’s difficult, obviously: having someone else who’s so high-profile in the media pushes everything that I do to another level, and I think it’s weird,” he said. “I feel like the press are more obsessed with it than the nation are, which is quite funny.” He added: “It is about making it work for us, not making it work how people think it should work.”
Good for Liam and Cheryl! It can't be easy to ignore what the media is saying, but it sounds like these two have it down. Now, everybody, take a breath — this adorable couple lives on (for now, at least).
A lot has changed for Liam Payne ever since One Direction announced their hiatus in 2016. For starters, he's a father to an adorable one-year-old son named Bear. He's also in a relationship with Cheryl Cole. But above all else, he's grown up a lot in the last two years. In a new interview with #legend magazine, the musician got super real about his relationship with One Direction, their reunion plans, as well as the fact that all the fame took a toll on his mental health.
Liam admitted that fame made him “a little bit nuts” and distracted him from who he really was. “It pissed me off in the end because it was like, ‘You could have been this guy, but you chose to do this.' Nobody really knew anything about me,” he said, admitting that the person he was in front of the cameras wasn't him. But ever since 1D's hiatus, Liam has the had time to revisit his true self.
“So I feel a lot more myself than I ever did before, rather than being a part of something and having a part to play or treading on eggshells around someone,” he continued. Considering he was a member of one of the best boy bands of all time, there must have been tons of pressure to maintain his image. So, does Liam have any regrets? No, because whatever happened led him to where he is now. But one truth bomb he did reveal is that he was happy when the 1D break was announced.
“I remember the day we finished, because of the place I was in, I was quite happy that we had a break. I said to the person with me at the time, ‘Thank god I don’t have to play that person again for a long time.' It was exhausting and I couldn’t keep up with myself,” he explained.
We know what you're thinking: How could he say that!? Well, superstardom is not all it's cracked up to be. He went on to say that he and the band got along fine, but there were times that they didn't. He said that certain members would argue sometimes, but that it was always resolved. Liam also revealed that he doesn't think he'll ever not be friends with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, which is exactly what we wanted to hear.
But does that mean we should stop dreaming about a 1D reunion? Well, Liam said there's still hope for that and also revealed what he imagines a reunion with the boys would be like.
“The only way we could get any bigger is to throw one massive concert where it’s basically all of us versus each other, but we’re still in a band,” he said. “So if we all went like, ‘Hang on a minute boys, just going to throw this in' and bang, on comes ‘Slow Hands’ [Niall's hit song] and we’re all just popping along – that would be the most fun sh*t ever.”
